Privacy policy

In short: this website sets no cookies and loads no analytics or advertising scripts and no third-party content. We only process what is technically necessary to run it.

1. Controller

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no legal obligation to do so. Please send privacy questions to the e-mail address above.

2. Hosting

The website runs on our own server at Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 München, Germany, in a data center in the European Union. We have a data processing agreement with Contabo under Art. 28 GDPR.

3. Server logs

Each time the website is accessed, the web server automatically stores the following data in log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• Date and time of access
• requested page or file and amount of data transferred
• HTTP status code
• Referrer, i.e. the previously visited page, if your browser transmits it
• Browser and operating system (user agent)

We process this data to operate the website securely and reliably, to detect and fend off attacks and to analyze website usage statistically. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in secure operation and in improving our offering.

Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days. Data we need longer to investigate a specific security incident is exempt.

4. Audience measurement without cookies

For simple visitor statistics, we analyze the server logs with the open-source software GoAccess on our own server. IP addresses are shortened, no user profiles are created and no data is passed on to third parties. Nothing is stored on your device for this. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can object to this processing at any time, see section 8.

5. Language, notice banner and local storage

When you open the start address, we forward you to the German or English page based on your browser's language setting. This check takes place only in your browser.

When you close the notice banner with “Got it” or choose a language with the DE/EN switch, your browser stores this note in local storage so that the notice does not appear again on every page view and you see your language on your next visit. The notes contain no personal data, are not transmitted to us and can be deleted by you at any time in your browser settings. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as the storage is strictly necessary for the service you requested.

6. Contact by e-mail

When you e-mail us, we process your details to answer your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your inquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once the inquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

We forward inquiries about public-sector cooperation in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to our partner responsible there so that he can answer them. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

7. Fonts, content and links

We serve all fonts and graphics from our own server. No content is loaded from Google, social networks or other third parties. Links to LinkedIn and other websites are plain links. Only when you click such a link do the privacy terms of that provider apply.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to

• Access to your stored data (Art. 15)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• Erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• Data portability (Art. 20)
• Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21)

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state of your residence. The authority responsible for us is the Swedish data protection authority Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, Sweden.

9. No automated decisions

We do not make automated decisions and do not carry out profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

10. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
